Tables Turned

Screen Shot (800x518)What an odd thing to be the subject rather than the photographer, stylist, and producer of the shoot. Like new shoes, it’s slightly uncomfortable but when you realize how amazing they are, you ease into them. And so it has happened that the shoe, so to speak, has been placed on our collective other foot… For one evening, we moved from behind the camera to in front of it..all in the name of art.

Josh and I enjoy spending our time learning and playing…I mean working. 🙂 We love transforming people and guiding them to bring visions to life. Our Old Hollywood icon project started off as merely an idea and a photoshoot. It has turned into our signature and embodies who we are both as people and as a company.

We were honored to have so many people at our exhibit debut. There were so many people, but Josh and I got around to meet almost everyone. How beautiful and unexpected it was to find this article printed online about us and about our exhibit. My heart did backflips when I saw our photo front and center. As I said, we are certainly not used to being on that side of the camera. 🙂 I was almost too petrified to read. I understand COMPLETELY now why many clients say they do not read their reviewsof their films and such. That evening, I’m not sure we were even aware someone was taking notes and photos for magazine purposes. Well, someone was and what they have written and shared is a lovely review and so we wanted to share it with all of you.

Old Hollywood Icon Project

The Old Hollywood Icon Project began with an idea last spring. It started as a simple thought of how could we really showcase our ideals and value as a company. We at JT Pro Imaging as a company, stand for what we stand for as individuals. We value authentic relationship. We enjoy sharing successes of our friends and clients. We feel that this industry was founded on a lot of class and style and respect and we are in a unique place of opportunity to bring those values to the forefront of this industry once more.

In addition, we really like what we do!! And darn it all,  we’re pretty good at it! Josh and I work together very well and so within days, this idea started to blossom and before we knew it, we had a full fledged production going on. We brought in hair and make up, we chose several of our clients and transformed them into Old Hollywood Icons. We had so much fun choosing people and playing with what icons we could transform them into. Josh studied old photography lighting and editing techniques. He looked at the different styles each photographer had. It was an amazing amount of prep work to even get to the shoot days and we loved every minute of it!!!

Three days of shooting later, we realized we had something incredibly special on our hands!!! I could go on and on about this project…and, oh, I will….but well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words….so without further ado…..here is some of our project. ENJOY!!!!
