NBC to be at ActorFest LA

OK, I know I said we’d start a series related to creating your own content but this is important as it pertains DIRECTLY to getting work!! NBC AT ACTORFEST L.A.

NBC does it again and will be holding an open call at Actorfest L.A. designed to add diversity to their expanding talent pool.

Seeking—Union Talent: males and females, who can play ages 18-45, all ethnicities, SAG or AFTRA members only. Note: You must bring your SAG or AFTRA card to the auditions. All talent under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Auditions will be held Nov. 5, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at California Market Center, 110 E. 9th St. (btwn. Main & Los Angeles Sts.), in Downtown L.A. There is no guarantee that everyone will be seen; early attendance is strongly recommended. Sign up for an audition time slot as early in the day as possible after arriving at Actorfest. Audition wait time may be several hours. Bring multiple copies of your pix & résumés, stapled together; must include contact info. Dress casual. Audition time slots will be given upon sign-up; if you miss your time slot, you will not be seen. The audition itself should last no longer than one to two minutes. A limited number of people will be notified at their audition that they have a callback. If you are called back, you will be given a scene to prepare and read. Callbacks will be held later in the afternoon. There is no guarantee of being cast or called back. Headshots may be kept on file for possible future casting. Be advised that no actor is guaranteed a role in a future production. Casting directors are not accepting any DVDs, CDs, or demo tapes; items left may be discarded. Attending the casting call is free; however, you must register to attend Actorfest in order to access the auditions.     Seeking—Males (5’9″-6’2″): and Females (5’0″-5’8″): to portray popular lead characters made famous in the following Disney features: Aladdin, Alice in Wonderland, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Tangled, The Little Mermaid, Tinker Bell, The Princess and the Frog; Dancers: males (5’1″ – 6’2″) and females (4’8″ – 5’8″), dancer/performers who move well, to appear in our Mainstage musical theatre productions, Disney Cruise Line, and in Disneyland Resort Parades. Some performers will appear as Disney Costumed Characters and Look-alikes for Meet and greets on board ships and others will step out into ensemble dancer roles. Candidates will be measured at the audition. Note: All Applicants must be 18 years or older.

    Auditions will be held at Back Stage’s Actorfest on Nov. 5, 11 a.m. (sign-in 10:30 a.m.) and 4 p.m. (sign-in 3:30 p.m.) for Characters, and 2 p.m. (sign-in 1:30 p.m.) for Dancers at California Market Center, 110 E. 9th St. (between Main and Los Angeles Sts.) in Downtown Los Angeles. Bring pix & résumés. Dancers should wear appropriate dance attire and be prepared to learn a dance combination. Depending on the location, Individual Employment Contracts range in length from six months to one year. Benefits may include per diem, housing, medical/dental coverage, vacation/sick days, complimentary park entrances, employee discounts and more.
