OK, I know I said we’d start a series related to creating your own content but this is important as it pertains DIRECTLY to getting work!! NBC AT ACTORFEST L.A.
Seeking—Union Talent: males and females, who can play ages 18-45, all ethnicities, SAG or AFTRA members only. Note: You must bring your SAG or AFTRA card to the auditions. All talent under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Auditions will be held Nov. 5, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at California Market Center, 110 E. 9th St. (btwn. Main & Los Angeles Sts.), in Downtown L.A. There is no guarantee that everyone will be seen; early attendance is strongly recommended. Sign up for an audition time slot as early in the day as possible after arriving at Actorfest. Audition wait time may be several hours. Bring multiple copies of your pix & résumés, stapled together; must include contact info. Dress casual. Audition time slots will be given upon sign-up; if you miss your time slot, you will not be seen. The audition itself should last no longer than one to two minutes. A limited number of people will be notified at their audition that they have a callback. If you are called back, you will be given a scene to prepare and read. Callbacks will be held later in the afternoon. There is no guarantee of being cast or called back. Headshots may be kept on file for possible future casting. Be advised that no actor is guaranteed a role in a future production. Casting directors are not accepting any DVDs, CDs, or demo tapes; items left may be discarded. Attending the casting call is free; however, you must register to attend Actorfest in order to access the auditions.
